PROGRAM (MKSP)

Purpose of the Program

This program enables the Church to address a vital need within the community by fostering connections among all groups, creating an environment where individuals can easily identify and relate to one another. By responding strategically to this opportunity, the Church strengthens the bonds within the community and promotes unity among its members.

The program's goal is to support the Church in ensuring that children within the community grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. It aims to help them develop physically and spiritually while preparing them to become witnesses of the Kingdom as adults in their societies. This involves providing children with essential access to education, health services, and Christian mentorship, laying a strong foundation for their holistic development.

Specificity of Winds' Approach

The Winds approach is unique in two key aspects:

  1. The program targets the whole family through the child, emphasizing the role of parents and the Church in the child's development.

  2. Minimal involvement of external staff, relying on parents and local church workers to lead the initiative.

The sponsorship focuses on transforming a child while integrating and balancing this transformation within their family context. The goal is to move the entire family toward transformation, while giving the child an opportunity to grow in godly wisdom, physical and social stature, before God and people.

Comprehensive Interventions

The MK sponsorship program considers the contextual priorities of each local community and its church. It is child-centered, family-based, and driven by the salvific work and message of Jesus Christ. This program is especially relevant in contexts affected by economic poverty, disasters, and endemic diseases that hinder people from catching up with life’s realities.

The program addresses key areas such as education, health, nutrition, clean water, economic development, and emergency relief, as well as spiritual and psychosocial needs.
